Lead Clinician, LCSW, LMFT or LPC
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Lead Clinician (LCSW or LPC) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of our persons served and opportunity to mentor clinician(s) and intern(s).
This position is eligible for NHSC (National Health Service Corp) student loan repayment program up to $75,000.00, paid CEUs and paid license renewal.
Position Overview:
Provide individual and group therapy in a community-based outpatient clinic.
Using Carelogic software, the Lead Clinician will document all clinical services provided in accordance with DMHAS and SCSI expectations. The Lead Clinician is expected to manage caseload assigned, including all documentation, in a timely manner, as well as attend team meetings and clinical supervisions.
As Lead Clinician you will have an opportunity to supervise at least 1 provisionally licensed staff and/or clinical intern(s).
Essential Functions:
- Provides individual, group, and family therapy to an assigned caseload. Must meet agency established productivity goals.
- Completes intake assessments as directed by the Director of Outpatient Services. Completes treatment plan reviews that include updates on client progress at least every ninety (90) days and discharge summaries whenever a case is closed.
- Conducts crisis assessments as assigned.
- Produces documentation that relates to recovery goals as documented in recovery plans.
- Documents all client contacts in the client's electronic medical record.
- Completes all documentation i.e., referrals, treatment plans, reassessment, and progress notes in accordance with the agency's Quality Assurance standards and in a timely manner.
- Provides appropriate linkage with community resources, e.g., social, residential, and rehabilitation services.
- Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of all agency programs and program criteria.
- Provides mentorship to students participating in an internship or employees who are in a clinician I role ultimately seeking full clinical licensure.
- Actively participates in individual and group supervisions, multi-disciplinary team meetings, Risk Review, agency committees, and program safety drills.
- Manages case load through regularly reviews of attendance and engagement using CareLogic software.
- Adheres to all agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to confidentiality and the code of ethics.
- Attends and participates in training, both to maintain State of CT licensure and as required by the agency.
- Will attend leadership meetings as applicable.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and climb stairs. The employee frequently is required to walk, talk and/or hear; Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes; Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this position include the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFPT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and 1 year minimum as employee of SCSI required. Clinical supervisory training preferred.
- Experience providing assessments, individual and group therapy, discharge planning and referral services to adults with severe mental illness, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders.
- Must be eligible for billable for services provided to clients with Medicare and private insurance coverage.
- CPR/First Aid Certified or eligible.
